CPP boat at Amsterdam Canal Pride

Welcome to the 15th edition of the Amsterdam Canal Parade!
More than 500,000 visitors and 80 boats are expected and we are boat number 35!!!!!

Look out for the Company Pride boat

In good tradition Company Pride Platform member organisations have been participating with company boats in the Amsterdam Canal Pride since 2005. Organisations such as IBM, ING, ABN-AMRO and TNT have been joining the pride all carrying banners with our slogan "Personal Pride = Company Pride".

Last year saw the first Company Pride Platform boat in the Amsterdam Pride Canal Parade. This joint effort between most of the CPP Members and with participation LGBT employee network, was a true exercise in cooperation and symbolizes what the Platform stands for.

Our vision: Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgenders (LGBT) are fully visible, accepted and valued in the workplace and in society, leading the way for others Company Pride Platform is a cooperation of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) networks in companies and organisations.

The Platform aims to stimulate the formation of new LGBT networks in the working environment and make them more effective by offering a platform to share knowledge and best practises. Where LGBT issues are a clear and visible part of companies' diversity and inclusion policies.

This year again several companies have joined forces under the flag of the Company Pride Platform: ABN AMRO, American Express, Cisco, IBM, KPN and Philips: we will have a professionally designed boat with lots of eye catching features, good music on board, some groovy choreo moves and a great crew!

I can be myself @ Work

We have chosen "I can be myself @ Work" to underline the importance that we can be ourselves at work. We think that this is a strong and important message and it is fully aligned with our company’s Diversity & Inclusion policies.

Where can you see us?

The Canal Parade starts at 2 pm at the beginning of the Prinsengracht at the Westerdok harbour. At the end of the Prinsengracht, the parade turns left on to the Amstel river, passing the famous white Skinny Bridge (Magere Brug) and passes the Stadshuis / Muziektheater to make a right in the direction of the Oosterdok.

Next to the Company Pride boat, a number our members such as ING and TNT will participate in the parade with their own boats. So be sure to wave at our fleet!
